Retirement: saying goodbye to a way of life

Many people have trouble ‘saying goodbye” to people through death, have you considered how hard it is for people who are retiring to say goodbye to those they have worked with for many years… those who said a warm ‘hello’ over the years, who offered support through family crisis.. who laughed with your during lunch breaks and celebrated the moments of your life. Those who retire look forward to the future, but hopefully will be able to fondly look back on the past with a sense of accomplishment. The special people who carried you through those working years, will remain in your life long after you leave work.. it will just be in a different way.
